OUH Magic Words: Mystical Knowledge

I started work on OUH in college, back in 2017ish. It's undergone a lot of changes over the years- this Feature included- but a lot of the core DNA has remained intact since then.

It's the simplest of the spellcasting, but I feel like it's robust besides and that's what makes Mystic Knowledge my personal favorite. Also because when going to try and make a core-Wizard I just ended up making a Stand-User.

OUH Magic Words: Primer

Per the sound advice of CyberChronometer on Phlox’s server, I’m going to try and do write-ups on some of the moving pieces of OUH- arbitrarily jumping in with the Magic system instead of a well-rounded look at things. (I'm sorry if that makes it harder to follow along, I'll try to ease into it / shorthand as makes sense. I just physically couldn't get to sleep without doing this.)

Rations, Downtimes, & Travelling

I have always been kind of loosey-goosey with travel rules and such. I feel like even more than most other mechanics, they're the kind of thing that can be highly subjective depending on the playgroup. The ones I put into the current version of OUH never sat right with me, because they were my attempt at codifying something that's... really not there too much?

This is my attempt to fix that with something that I hope flows a little better. I would put it into a main book revision but I haven't had a chance to run them at a table yet first, so planning on doing that and polishing them up a little first.
